**ALEA, FBI Mobile and the AG’s Office Asking for Public's Assistance in Explosive Device Detonated in Montgomery** On Saturday, Feb. 24, at approximately 3:42 a.m., an explosive device was detonated near the intersection of Washington Avenue and South Bainbridge Street, outside of the Alabama Attorney General's Office in downtown Montgomery. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), along with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Mobile and the Alabama Attorney General’s Office, are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a person of interest that may have information related to this crime. Special Agents with ALEA's State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) received notification of a suspicious package at approximately 8:19 a.m., on Monday, Feb. 26, and immediately responded to the scene and deemed the area safe. The suspicious package was confirmed as the device which was detonated on Saturday. Troopers assigned to ALEA’s Protective Services Division and Special Agents assigned to ALEA’s Hazardous Device Unit (HDU), along with Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and Officers from the Montgomery Police Department, also responded to the scene to assist. No injuries or damage to nearby buildings were reported. Nothing further is available as the investigation remains ongoing.

QUAD CITIES POST – At approximately 3:43 p. m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, a pursuit occurred involving Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division. The pursuit began on Alabama 24 near the 31 mile marker, in Franklin County, after an ALEA Trooper conducted a traffic stop on a Cadillac Escalade for speeding. The driver of the Cadillac fled during the traffic stop and a pursuit ensued. The pursuit ended on Alabama 24 near Alabama 157, in Lawrence County, with assistance from Moulton Police Department and Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department. The driver was taken into custody without incident. Upon search of the vehicle, $50,000 in U.S. Currency, 12.5 pounds of marijuana, 121 dosage units of Liquid THC, 3 handguns, and 1 rifle was seized by Special Agents with ALEA’s State Bureau of Investigations (SBI). The driver, John Borelli, 29, of Chesterfield, Mich. was arrested, transported to the Lawrence County Detention Center, and charged with Drug Trafficking, Felony Eluding, Possession of Firearm with Altered Serial Number, Receiving Stolen Property 2nd, Reckless Driving, and Speeding. The passengers, Darius Braden, 28, of Detroit, Mich. and Cor’tae Davidson, 20, of Rochester, Minn., were arrested, transported to the Lawrence County Detention Center, and charged with Drug Trafficking.

Someone was on our porch at 230 am and noticed we have a camera and left. Hopefully none one in Holiday Hills had any issues this morning because of this person. I will report to sheriff just to be on the safe side.
